Tenshin Nasukawa Responds To Conor McGregor's Request For A Fight
Alright, so I fucking love Tenshin Nasukawa. That’s what I learned here today.
In case you missed it last night, Conor McGregor basically challenged 20-year-old kickboxing sensation (and Floyd Mayweather’s most recent “opponent”) Tenshin Nasukawa to a mixed-martial-arts exhibition in Tokyo before the Summer is upon us.
Nobody, including myself, is really sure if he’s serious about this, kidding around, using Tenshin as a pawn in his evergreen war with Floyd Mayweather, just itchin’ for some o’ dat Yakuza cash…nobody knows WHAT to make of it. Here are the facts, though…
-Tenshin just completely embarrassed himself in the biggest moment of his life, a boxing “exhibition” with Mayweather:
-Tenshin somehow underestimated an arguable GOAT who has been professionally boxing longer than he has been alive:
-McGregor used said exhibition to take a shot at Floyd and mix it up with President of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe:
And finally…
-Tenshin Nasukawa is a natural 125lb-er, who natural 155lb-er Conor McGregor is sittin’ here (possibly actually) tryna fight. Not cool, man!
Everyone knows I’ve been the first to back Conor McGregor up on just about everything and anything he’s ever done in his entire life, but c’mon, dude! Pick on somebody your own size, or at the very least, somebody in your own sport!
If not, you’re just bein; a bully for the sake of being a bully, and in the wise words of Steve Rogers…
Tenshin snapped back with the perfect response, thanking “Mr. McGregor” for remembering his name – as Conor just called him Jackie Chan last time (lol) – and letting him know that if he could cut down to 58kg (128lbs) and agree to a set of kickboxing rules, the bout would be on. Literally perfect.
Not to say I’m “against” Conor on this one, because I ain’t ever gonna be against The Champ Champ, but c’mon Conor. Pick your battles.
This shouldn’t be one of ‘em, even if you were just fucking around. Leave the kid alone.
